Employment Opportunities
The Schuyler County Health Department has an immediate opening for a part-time (15-30 hours per week) environmental health sanitarian.  Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or related field with a minimum of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in physical or biological sciences required.  Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner (LEHP) preferred. Program responsibilities include food, water, sewage, tanning and body art facility inspections, vector control, nuisance complaints, and other environmental health issues and programs as needed.   The health department is open 4 days per week, Tuesday- Friday 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM.  Experience helpful but not necessary. Some travel, weekends, and evenings required. Must have reliable transportation. Looking for additional income?  The Schuyler County Health Department has immediate openings for part-time (15-30 hours per week) Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Program areas include WIC, Communicable Diseases, IL Breast and Cervical Cancer, STD, Immunizations, Wellness Clinic, TB, Tobacco Cessation, Emergency Preparedness and Health Education.  The Schuyler County Health Department is open four days per week, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday-Friday. Some occasional travel, weekend, and evenings required.   Experience helpful but is not necessary.  Must be a team player and have reliable transportation.
